Dastan Cardholder

A one-of-a-kind leather cardholder, individually designed and hand-stitched from a characterful hide. No two Dastan pieces are alike; each carries its own colour, texture, and story.

True to its name—Dastan, meaning "story" or "tale"—the Dastan Cardholder is an intuitively designed, one-of-a-kind creation. Crafted from characterful hides, each piece lets the unique qualities of the leather guide its final form. Made from carefully selected genuine leathers, each piece is fully lined with soft genuine suede, secured with antique brass snap buttons, and reinforced with durable hand-stitching. Designed with a single main internal compartment that holds 5 to 6 cards comfortably alongside folded cash, it is finished with Divan Amin’s signature hand-printed Shahnameh stamps. No two Dastan cardholders are alike—each carries its own distinct color, texture, and mythic story.

The Story

Dastan means “story” or “tale”—a fitting name for a cardholder made from leather with its own character. Each piece is designed intuitively as it is made, allowing the hide to guide the final form. Smooth, weathered, textured, marked, or richly patinated, every leather tells a different story. Made from carefully chosen leather—including cowhide, crazy horse, and other distinctive hides—each cardholder is lined with genuine suede, finished with antique brass buttons, and hand-stitched for a sturdier construction. Divan Amin’s signature Shahnameh stamps, including stories of Rostam, give each piece another layer of meaning. No two Dastan cardholders are the same. Each one is a small story to carry with you.

Each Divan Amin piece is made to order from genuine leather and customised for its owner. Pricing, leather availability, colours, thread, and finishing details are confirmed after you contact us.
